FSTL has the great idea to organise a very different IFHE Congress and wish to offer the delegates the opportunity to join “The World’s Most
Beautiful Voyage”, on board the Norwegian Coastal Steamer, Hurtigruten( www.hurtigruten.com).

The Norwegian Coastal Voyage offers an experience in a unique combination of top conference facilities and beautiful ever-changing landscapes, which can boost motivation and aid inspiration.
An additional bonus is that the participants remain together as a group in our comfortable bars, restaurants and lounges, after the day’s business is over.


No matter what time of year you travel, the natural light plays an important role, dramatising the scenery and enhancing the experience.
During the winter months a quiet, atmospheric darkness prevails, penetrated by warm embers of light from navigation beacons, clusters of houses and towns along the shore.
If conditions are suitable the night sky will be illuminated by the fuorescent Northern Lights dancing on their black stage.
During the summer months the sun works overtime. It forces winter to retreat, puts green leaves back onto the bare trees, renews the colours of the felds and meadows, makes the sea sparkle and creates evocative shadows over the landscape - practically 24 hours a day!


A conference on board the coastal steamer is a unique event!
There is no equivalent to the special experience of all being in the same ship and sharing the landscapes and scenery that glide past the conference activities.
The 34 ports of call along the route make it simple to embark and disembark wherever one wishes. This offers many opportunities, for both participants and contributors.


The conference venue: MS Midnatsol
This new magnifcent coastal liner is truly the queen of the Atlantic Coast.
The beautiful appointed public areas; panorama lounges and welcoming restaurants allow you to enjoy the passing scenery, whatever the weather.
The MS Midnatsol is of modern design and the ships’ interior is built mostly from Norwegian materials, such as wood and stone.
