Sunday 30 May at 19:00 – Cocktail reception
Enjoy the first evening in Oslo along with the other delegates and accompanying persons as you shake off that buzz/hussle of travelling. Get to know or get re-aquainted with the ASECAP participants, all in a relaxing atmosphere.
Dress code: informal

Monday 31 May at 19:00 – Reception at the Oslo City Hall
Host: Mayor of Oslo
Departure: by coach from the hotel at 18:30
Departure: by coach from the City Hall at 20:00
Monday 31 May at 20:30 – Informal Dinner at Café Christiania
Café Christiania stands facing the Norwegian Parliament in the venerable Freemasons’ building at Nedre Vollgate 19.
The atmosphere is based on Norwegian culture from the first half of the previous century. This is reflected in the interior, which features the largest collection in Norway of country store items from 1900 to the 1960s.

Tuesday 1 June at 19:30 – Gala Dinner at Radisson Blu Plaza
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Gala Dinner, allowing us to introduce you to the Sonja Henie Ballroom all dressed up in her evening gown.
The hall is named after the famous Norwegian World Champion figure skater during the late 20s and early 30s; Sonja Henie. She performed in popular ice shows into the 1950s, and made a number of successful films.
Dress code: formal

Technical visit
Wednesday 2 June at 10:00
Starting 10 am at Radisson Blu Plaza.
Estimated duration: 4 hrs.
The main aim of this technical visit is the Bjørvika Tunnel, a motorway immersed tunnel on European Route E18 in the city center of Oslo, built by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. In the east, it connects to the Festning Tunnel at Akershus Fortress and runs under the Bjørvika arm of the Oslofjord before ending in an intersection on the east shore. The Bjørvika Tunnel is the first immersed tunnel in Norway.

You will also be introduced to two other major landmarks in Oslo:
The Vigelandsparken Park, the largest sculpture park made by one single artist in the world.
It was completed in 1949 and this unique sculpture park is the lifework of Gustav Vigeland’s displaying more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron.
You will be able to walk around and see some of Vigeland’s worldknown sculptures firsthand.
Holmenkollen Ski Jump
Norway’s most popular tourist attraction, and host of the annual FIS World Cup ski competitions, it provides a beautiful view of Oslo and the surrounding fjord and forest. Oslo and Holmenkollen will host the World Ski Championships. Finally, the trip will end at the new Opera in Oslo were you will be served lunch.
After lunch the participants will return to the hotel on foot.

Accompanying persons program
Monday June 31st – In the foot steps of Alfred Nobel
Start 10am from from Radisson Blu Plaza, the transport will take you directly to the Oslo City Hall where our tour in the footsteps of Alfred Nobel is about to start. Since 1989 the Oslo City Hall has been the center of the Worlds attention every December 10, when this prestigious prize is being handed to the winner of the year. From the City Hall there are just a few steps across the square to the Nobel Peace Center. Full guided tour of the exhibits of the Nobel Peace Center.  After the visit we re-enter the bus that will take us by the Royal Palace and the Prime Minister’s residence before we drive down the Karl Johan Street and stop at the legendary Grand Café  for lunch after a quick tour of the Hotel where the annual Nobel Dinner is being held.

Tuesday June 1st the Munch Museum and the Viking Museum
Start 10am from Radisson Blu Plaza to to go to viewpoint Ekeberg, also made known by expressionist painter Edvard Munch for being the scene of his painting “The Scream” – the view of Oslo is superb from here. Continue to the Munch Museum to see the wonderful art on display here then through the center of town to the museums peninsula for a visit to the museum considered a “must” when in Oslo; the Viking Ship museum with its original Viking longboats re-discovered and excavated more than 100 years ago.
From Bygdøy we continue to lunch at Høvikodden.
